Ms. Manelle Bensoltane, Senior Consultant Product Development

Manelle Bensoltane joined IGDP with academic and practical experience in the field of law and Islamic finance. She holds an LLB from University of Algiers, where she studied Sharia’a and Fiqh; and an LLM in International Commercial Law from Westminster University. Currently as Senior Consultant Product Development, she works closely with other team members in delivering client mandates with a particular focus on developing products in line with Sharia requirements. She is also writing up her Ph.D. thesis on the legal framework of Islamic banking at Queen Mary University of London.Ms Bensoltane has more than 6 years of experience in the Islamic banking and finance industry both at Dar Al Istithmar (previously a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank) and European Islamic Investment Bank; during which she worked closely with world renowned Sharia’a scholars, and was involved in developing and structuring various Sharia’a-compliant transactions.
